- You Must be a registered member of the parish for at least 3 months.
- If you are not a parishioner of Our Lady star of the Sea – A letter from your parish is required granting permission for your child to be baptized at Our lady Star of the Sea.
- Baptisms take place every Sunday after the 11:00am Mass. Please check availability with the parish office especially during holidays.
- A Baptismal bib and Candle are provided by the parish.

Parents are the principal and first educators of their children. To assist parents in preparing for their child’s Baptism, the parish provides classes the second Saturday of every month at 9:00 a.m. in the Browning Center. Please call Pam Kastner at baptism@olsspvb.org or (845) 544-3434 to register.
Persons over the age of 7 who have never been baptized, or baptized in another faith tradition are asked to call the Parish Office, ext. #240 and inquire about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
